Delete your account

Email us from the address you sign in with, and your account and records are deleted. Here is exactly what happens.

How to delete your account

Send an email to [email protected] asking for your account to be deleted. That is the whole process; there is no form to fill in.

  • Send it from the email address you use to sign in to PuppyCal. This is how we know the request comes from you.
  • Use the subject line Delete my PuppyCal account.
  • You do not need to give a reason.

Email a deletion request

The button opens your email app with the message already written. If it does not open, copy the address above into a new email.

What happens next

  • We confirm receipt by replying to your email, usually within two working days.
  • If you wrote from a different address, we will ask you to confirm the request from the address linked to your account. We cannot delete an account on a request we cannot verify.
  • Your account is deleted within 30 days of the request being verified, and we email you when it is done. It is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • Your account: email address, display name and preferences.
  • Your dogs' profiles, including name, breed, age, neuter status and photo.
  • Everything you recorded: meals, treats and the food photos kept with them, saved foods and recipes, weights, target weights and calorie targets, and body condition checks.
  • Your membership of any household, and any pending invitations you sent.
  • Crash reports and usage data linked to your account.

What may be kept

  • Shared dogs. If you share a dog with other people, the entries you made stay in that dog's record for them, with their food photos, shown as made by "former member". If no one else has access to the dog, its records are deleted with your account.
  • Food database entries. Products you added to the shared food database stay available to other users. Your identity was never attached to them.
  • Legal records. Anything the law requires us to keep, for example a record that we handled your request, is kept only for as long as required.

Before you ask

  • Cancel any subscription in your Apple account settings. Deleting your PuppyCal account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple.
  • Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. It only removes the data stored on that phone.

Deleting only some data

You do not have to delete everything. Write to the same address to ask for specific data to be removed, such as one dog's records or your body condition photos, or to leave a household without deleting your account. Entries and dogs can also be edited or deleted directly in the app.
